Permanent PT Assistant Bookkeeper – Remote Opportunity 

Rapidly growing bookkeeping and business management firm has an exciting opportunity for a highly organized, competent and detail-oriented bookkeeper/accountant.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accounting records and general ledger for all accounts.
  • Perform daily cash management such as entering deposits, credit card charges and applicable daily sales entries.
  • Prepare weekly accounts payable and accounts receivables reports, and follow-up with vendors and customers.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile open issues.
  • Perform extensive client account follow-up and analyze any issues with accounts appropriately.
  • Assist and prepare timely and accurate monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheet, budgets, and other custom reporting. 
  • Detailed recordkeeping & general ledger work.  


Requirements

  • College graduate (Associates or Bachelors) with a degree in accounting and/or finance
  • Must have advanced knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and GAAP (Generally accepted accounting principles).
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills are required. Able to work effectively, pleasantly, and professionally with supervisors, colleagues, vendors, and clients alike.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Microsoft Office.  
  • Proficient in remote user software (Zoom, Teams, Slack – or other direct messaging services)
  • Experience with accounting software, QuickBooks Desktop & Online as well as Sage/Peachtree
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • Dependable, self-starter and motivated
  • Provide at least two professional references
